    An expert in organizational whistleblowing management, Jan is engaged in the development of the new ISO 37002 Standard, is a frequent speaker on subjects related to whistleblowing, and has authored various articles on new legislation concerning whistleblower protection, anti-corruption, and organizational whistleblowing best practices. Jan is CIPP/E is an International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E). He holds a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) from King’s College London in the United Kingdom (EU Competition Law) and a master’s degree (LL.M) from Leiden University in the Netherlands (European Law).

    Jan was recently accepted as a member into The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe’s (UNECE) “Working Party on Regulatory Cooperation and Standardization Policies.” This working party is broken into six parts and Jan is a member of the Group of Experts on Risk Management in Regulatory Systems.

    Darriane is an experienced Ethics and Compliance professional having worked in both Industry and Consulting. Darriane started her career as a Civil Servant at the Department for Education, enjoying a variety of roles and worked for both the Minister of State for Higher Education and the Schools Minister in both the House of Lords and Commons. 

    She joined RSM Tenon as a Counter-fraud Specialist , supporting a range of clients to manage and mitigate fraud risk and then moved to GSK to join the Anti-Bribery and Corruption Team during a period of investigation by the Department of Justice and was responsible for embedding ABAC training and communication globally during a period of intense scrutiny. Darriane was then responsible for the GSK Code of Ethical Conduct and the Values programme across the globe, including delivery of a twice- yearly code of conduct learning programme and assessing the GSK Values. 

    Darriane wanted the opportunity to share her learning with other companies and joined Deloitte to set up an Ethics Centre of Excellence, where she focused on assessing and measuring culture and Values. Darriane joined BDO in October 2023 to start the Ethics and Culture practice and leads on all aspects of ethical behaviour including assessment of policy and programmes regarding Bullying and Harassment.
